“I had several proposals to fix our situation with a very loud AC unit. They actually replaced the gas furnace, outdoor AC unit, and coil for about the same price as the other quotes for just replacing the outdoor unit. They made adjustments to the ductwork to improve airflow, and it has made a great improvement. The owner actually listened and answered my questions and explained his reasons for what he proposed vs. just selling me another AC unit. His install team was great, too. They were very professional and quick. I had the same thing done earlier in the year in another property I owned in VA, and it took that crew a day and a half to complete the install with two people. “Over the Labor Day weekend in 2018, our ten-year-old Heil heat pump system died on us. Our HVAC vendor at the time said we had a leak in the coil, and the coil needed replacing. They added coolant and the system worked for about 24 hours before dying again. The repair cost us about $200. Our Heil heat pump had been a constant problem with many service calls, even though the unit was well-maintained. My wife and I decided to replace the whole HVAC heat pump system with the best system we could afford. On Labor Day Monday, I used Home Advisor to find a company with great reviews and discovered Energy Sharks Heating and AIr in Simpsonville, South Carolina. I was amazed when Phil answered my phone call on Labor Day. He was professional and very helpful. He came to the house on Tuesday and inspected our current system. He told us the Heil system was too big for our townhouse, the return duct work was not correct, and there was a safety hazard because the breaker on the heat pump was too large. We talked over his suggestions and decided to invest in a top-of-the-line York system. On Wednesday, his crew showed up about midday to start the installation. A second crew also came over a little later to help. In about two hours, they had the new heat pump installed and running. My wife and I have been so impressed with Phil and his crews. The new York system is smaller than the old unit but it puts out more cooling and heat, moves more air, has a larger air filter, includes a variable speed fan, and is much cheaper to operate. Phil helped us get two rebates, too. We have a second property that will need a HVAC system soon, and we will be calling Phil and Energy Sharks Heating and Air to take care of it for us. We highly recommend Energy Sharks Heating and Air.”
